My name is Karolina Stępień, I am the doctor, Orthopedic and Trauma Surgery specialist. I graduated from Second Faculty of Medicine, the Medical University of Warsaw in 2013. The title of the Orthopedic and Trauma Surgery specialist I earned in 2020 after the residency in Carolina Medical Center, Warsaw.

My main area of interest is sports traumatology, arthroscopic surgery and hand surgery. Additionally, I deal with infections in orthopedics. I do not deal with surgical treatment of the spine and arthroplasty.

I make the decision on the recommended method of treatment individually, taking into consideration needs and expectations of a patient. At the same time, in my work, I place great emphasis on comprehensive treatment that focuses not only on the structural problem, but also takes into account the patient’s chronic diseases, dietary management and lifestyle changes. In the case of complex problems, I value a cooperation with specialists from other fields of medicine.

If possible, I perform the surgical procedures minimally invasively (arthroscopically), but my priority is to choose the most optimal method of performing the procedure, which has a chance of giving the best results.

In the case of indications for conservative treatment with use of immobilization, I use modern lightweight casts and thermoplastic dressings.

I work with adult and adolescent patients.

I speak Polish, English, Spanish and Russian and I consult my patients in these languages.
